The cars have always lived outside in the driveway. No room for them in our garage (15x37) because I have always used that for my workshop. It has cabinet saw, radial saw, planer, jointer, bandsaw, drill press and a pegboard wall full of hand tools.

2 years ago I built an OPE shed (8x14) attached to rear of house. Thought tractor could live there, but not with BH. It has garden tools, fertilizers, Troybilt chipper, mower, garden cart and jerricans for gasoline and waste oil. No room for tractor or attachments, even if it were empty.

Last summer I built a 26x24 Clearspan steel arch barn. Has 100 amp electrical service, flourescent shoplights and houses tractor, all my attachments, 60gal air compressor, mig welder, plasma cutter, grinder and assorted tractor mainenance supplies. I'm already running out of room. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

In planning stage: 36x48 Barn #2 (a polebarn). At that point, tractor, attachments and maintenance stuff will go to new barn and present barn will house metalworking shop and inside storage for current winter's firewood. That should be good for at least a year. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Wife doesn't complain (too much /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ) so long as I never tell her that we can't afford something SHE wants. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Basement garage houses the upright freezer, camping gear, riding gear, and my 01 Harley Electraglide Classic.
Double detached garage (1536 sq ft) has one bay that houses 3 kayaks and a canoe, radial arm saw, 40 gallon compressor, bike lift, engine stand, cherry picker, and a crapload of stacked furniture waiting for the first child to move out.
Bay 2 is home to the BX24, 98 Harley Sportster/Chopper project bike, 2 rollaway tool boxes, and a 4' x 16' wall mounted pegboard loaded with tools (painted HD orange and black).
Upper garage room #1 is 24' x 14' and is home to several guitar amps, guitars, pioneer stereo, sofa, loveseat, and 12 cubic ft. beer fridge (dad's pad when mom's mad).
Upper garage room #2 is 12' x 14' and is slowly becoming a small woodworking shop...scroll saw, 10" table saw, sanding station, router table...ect.
Upper garage room #3 is full of stuff that hasn't been placed in the garage attic since I don't have the attic floor done yet.

All you guys are talking about WORKING stuff! Down in the country I had a 40' x 60' shop building, so I had lots of tools, tractor, implements, etc. in it, but since I had to move back to town, I had a BIG garage sale myself instead of waiting for my wife to have an auction, Daryl. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Now that I'm back in town I have a 2 car garage with an '01 Ford Windstar and an '01 Ford Ranger, along with storage cabinets, washer & dryer, & such. I have an 8' x 12' garden shed with my little Toro ZTR, Stihl string trimmer, and assorted other lawn & garden tools. And I have a 21' x 25' shop building with workbench, vise, bench grinder, air-compressor, refrigerator full of drinks, shelves with a few power tools, a table saw, and a rollaway tool box. My little 4' x 8' landscape trailer has to sit outside.

HOWEVER . . ., at my age and in my circumstances; i.e., being lazy and not intending to do any serious WORK anymore, I put an 8' pool table right in the middle of that shop building. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif And I'll bet it gets more use than any of the tools. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bird:

I've considered a pool table too. My BIL has a restored 50's Brunswick with the leather pockets and all. It's a tank and I'd put it in the living room if I could get it.

I'll have to be content playing pool on Yahoo for now. At least I can see to the other side of the table. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If Amy and I decide to move out there, I'll have a semi load of treasures to bring.

My garage is only in my thoughts at this point. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Someday... I do have a shed that houses a Honda 4 wheeler and Kawasaki dirt bike. Alas, little orange lives under a tarp at this point. Lots of tools in the walkout basement (walk outs are great) plus a motorcycle. I have stuff everywhere which of course annoys the missus. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
