Keeping a rough terrain forklift around is a lot more costly than the repair I'm seeking,,,,, but
Fairfax this dock doesn't get heavy use. Once a day with unladen forklift going in/out. Unladen because out of 20 starts, 19 of them are to move it out of the way. A classic example warehouse guys say "we need a real forklift" (and they badmouth/fail the small one). Then the main function of this real forklift (if you count starts) becomes,,,,,, "to get itself out of the way". Not really, but that would be the opinion of the starter motor if it could talk. Or a management exaggeration of a warehouse pushback,,,, everybody wants to see dollars spent on their opinion (not their dollars).
I suspect the settling occurs in the summer when the asphalt is soft. I wonder if we can just water hot asphalt before use, or forklift only in the AM to minimize the settling. Pretty sure we want to minimize the thump.
I'd like to pour a plastic ramp, it might also shade the asphalt.
