What kind of PU tires should I get?

Best tires I have ever run are the Nitto Terra Grapplers. Ran them on my F250 and on my Sierra. Snow, roads and light trail. They err great and lasted 50k miles

Hard to beat the Coopers, Falken, and Hankook AT tires along with the BFG's. Another good one is the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.

The duratrac are awesome i must say. I really put them to work in the real mud and then snow. The only dissappointing feature was the wear. They were great to the last tread but that was only 50 000 km. lt did about 10 km per day of gravel for about two years, balance was basically pavement.

Buy American made Cooper 's and keep me working. They got a $75 rebate going on now.

I would like to consider the coopers. Where can I find that rebate? It wasn't on the website

Never mind...I googled and found it...Thanks

Scotty I was busy making some more tires. Glad you found it. I think you will be happy with Cooper's.
I run Cooper STT 's they are a very deep lug mud tire. Got 66,000 miles on my last set. Winter here is mud and rain, no snow. I had to have a mud tire, got cow"s to check.
Set before that was Cooper ST good tire. Got 58,000 and sold them still had about 3/8" of tread.
Next set I get will be Cooper AT3 due to the price of gas, mileage is much better. I got a rope and tractor if I get stuck.

You can't beat Michellin for traction and wear for on the road, but they do not make a tire to take off road. Every one I have had you would get stuck in the grass! I love them on the front, I travel 122 miles a day to and from work and while mostly freeway a good bit doesn't get touched early in the am so you need traction.

Buddies of mine have had wear issues with theirs but I always run 55psi min rear 60psi front and rotate every 10,000km good long lasting tires with no abnormal wear or scalping. Also great snow and mud traction while being quiet on freeway.

Michelins wear well and last a while they are just to proud of their tires i wont buy them for that reason. I can basicaly buy 2 sets for the price of one of michilins. If i get a hole in one or bust it or just want new tires you are out on the Michlins if thats what you got.

I wore back tires for a while. But, I was running them at what the door sticker said. 65psi front, 80psi rear... I was towing a light trailer frequently.

Looking thru some old papers, I found the tire addendum for my truck. First, 245/75-16E was on the door sticker; it came with, and I have continued to run, 265/75-16.

The addendum says, for 265/75-16E:
Light Load = 45psi front, 40psi rear
Full Load = 55psi front, 70psi rear

I'm sure I wore the rears faster with too high pressure for a few years. And, the light trailer did not need max load pressures(for truck).

Dealer told me Cooper Discoverers are Chinese. Cooper is also closing US plants and opening plants in China/mexico.
I know you like your chinese tractor, but I would never recommend putting Chinese tires on a truck. I've had premature blowouts on chinese trailer tires. They looked perfectly good then BLAM.

I just put a nice set of Generals on my 3500HD 4x4. They are mostly US made. (One set I had was made in Mex). They are fairly inexpensive (about $170), go about 30K miles, pretty quiet on road, and resemble a BFG AT tread pattern. Check 'em out:
