I am new to tractors and there ability.
I discovered yesterday that you dont want to use the loader in 4WD.

Here is a few pictures to show you what happens.

Thanks Photobucket for allowing picture links.

I would be asking for my money back on that loader due to a bad design.

I can't see everything from the picture, but I'm not thinking that it's just a "cosmetic" crack.

It came with a 90 day warranty. I will see what they say.

One of the reason why I purchased it from the person I did was because they told me the loader was much better than the chinese one that came with the tractor. This loader is all SAE and supposed to be better??

Don't think it is the four wheel drive being used that is the problem!

Many Industrial yellow machines only use one cylinder so that's not a problem either.

But do think there may have been a lack of compentcy in the design!

When I'm moving dirt, rock, manure, mulch with the loader is when I need 4wd. Most other work, tilling, moving anything else, mowing, or rotary cutting I'm in 2wd.

The advice not to use 4wd has to do with the front differential on Jinma tractors, some have been damaged by placing too much weight on the front axle, breaking diff. gears and axle shafts. If you get your tractor where the front end is moving the load you are asking for trouble. Your loader failure seems to be from trying to curl a loaded bucket and the home made loader which appears, well.... lets just say not very well built. Now we dont really know what you were doing, where you by chance trying to pull a loaded semi with a chain attached to your bucket? or did it happen curling a bucket load of material? You might check with your dealer and see how much he would charge to upgrade to a Koyker, spirit, or even the Jinma loader would be better. I hope you can get something worked out.

On the bright side, that loader will probably protect the tractor from ever being overworked.

Trust me, I am not the "tractor man". Chip and others can vouch for theaty, BUT...my KAMA has never given me grief other than what I DO TO IT. Looks like pretty weak frame on loader. Get a Koyker.

To be more specific about what I was doing.

I was trying to remove a small alder stump. The tree was about 3" in diameter.
I put the loader bucket in under the stump and rolled the bucket then drove forward to pop the root ball out from the ground. As soon as I went foward the cross bar snapped. Peeled open like a pop can.

It seems to be that it should not have peeled the steel like that. The welds did not break it was the metal that failed.

I assume that this comment is meant for hard or dry surfaces. About half of my hours on my Task Master are moving snow. Believe me I need 4wd when I am trying to move 3 feet of snow (with FEL and/or rear blade).
