About .15/kwh... That does not include all the additional fees and surcharges. That is just the rare per kwh.

Our all electric home and shop in central IN costs about $150-$180 per mo every month.

That would be ground-source ? Can't see resistance-heating, @ your latitude/kwh rate.

Assuming other than, Tiny Home, Tiny Shop.....

I recall TVA supplied power to our plant back in the early 90’s being about 4.5 cents/kwh. We used over a million kWh a month so we got a little discount. A million gallons of water per Day too. It takes a lot of utilities to process chickens.

We don't use resistance heat. The shop has no heat. It only has lighting, and the most power hungry item is a large dust collection system. It's 40x60. The home (1800 sq ft) has a heat pump. The resistance heat only fires when we drop below 5F

Massachusetts has passed into law that new 2024 construction requires a 400 amp service with no propane appliances!!

My "rough estimate" calculation has always been:
at $0.10 per KWH,
one watt used for one year cost $1
100 watts for one year (constantly on) costs $100
At $0.30 per KWH the cost goes to $300
So, 300 divided by 365 is a little less than $1 per day,, (~$0.82?)

$ 0.19 CAD / kwh : direct cost, before our VAT applied.

^ doesn't include, a Provincial rebate (for now) that amounted to $0.045 / CAD kwh. So, since I'm going to be paying for that rebate one way/another..... I'm more like $0.235 CAD / kwh.
