100w bulb running for 24 hours is 2400w/h or 2.4kwh
2.4 x $0.32 dont equal $7.68 So what am I missing here? You have the decimal place a notch off
Is that your total cost ..bill $ divided by kWh, or just the energy portion?Interesting thread to follow over the years. I find it amazing to see just how much the price varies in different locations.
Here in PA. electric supply companies are deregulated and we can shop for the best rate. I just switched suppliers and am paying 7.8 cents per KWH.
Just the energy. Our local power company charges a distribution fee which is roughly half the electric portion of the bill.Is that your total cost ..bill $ divided by kWh, or just the energy portion?
Georgia deregulated natural gas about 20 years ago to increase price competition. It backfired on many small users such as homeowners. The base fees can be more than gas cost in off heating season.Interesting thread to follow over the years. I find it amazing to see just how much the price varies in different locations.
