What size and brand of 3pt finishing mower

Yeah, why can't the MSRP be publicized? Let's have it. It's just "suggested" after all.

I appreciate all of the interest about the 84" Stainless Steel deck Finish Mowers. King Kutter doesn't advertise on TBN, thus I don't feel it's fair to those that do, to quote pricing. Everything Attachments is an advertiser here and sells King Kutter products. I feel that MSRP's are extremely mis-leading, thus I feel that customers are better off contacting their local dealer, or Everything Attachments when you would like pricing.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The only reason I'm here is to answer questions about King Kutter products, and farm equipment in general, of which i have a lot of knowledge, due to my background.

I hope you can understand my position.

Have a good day, and again, I'd like to thank you for your interest in King Kutter products.

I can assure you that my S&W Stainless Chief's Special would disagree with you. It became well pitted from concealed carry/ sweating in the Summer. Stainless Steel is rust RESISTANT not rust proof! Some stainless are more corrosion resistant than others.

Resistant might be a better term, actually..

Hermatite, if you have a magnet, see if it sticks to your revolver. I only have one SS revolver (Ruger SP101) and a magnet does stick to it.
As I'd written in an earlier post, the higher grades (more corrosion resistant) stainless steels have a higher nickel content and are not magnetic.

Actually, that depends on which alloy it is...some stainless steels are not too corrosion resistant...but it isn't rust like you'd see with carbon steels.

I agree 100%, However, If I were building a new implement that was prone to be in a environment prone to rust, I would use the higher priced stainless that would not rust. Ken Sweet

Yeah...the KK mower looks very pretty and all that, but in this application, IMHO, the use of SS is a bit of a gimmick...like the Delorean (if you remember that, you're middle aged at least)

HOLY CRAP!!!!
I just realized I'm posting in the New Holland forum!!!! How the he77 did I get here??

Or the Plastic Saturn made by GM that would never rust. Why did they stop making those? Ken Sweet

It's not a gimmick IMO. We found that in the seven foot size, the Stainless Steel has more rigidity, and works much better with our design. I look at the stainless steel as a bonus, not a gimmick.

IMHO, If it will not rust, It is not a gimmick? If it will rust, what was the point anyway. I am just a simple minded man and like to boil it down to the basics. Ken Sweet

I guess I don't know what you're trying to say here.

The decking is made from stainless steel type 304. The steel itself will not rust for a very long time. Where other metal has rubbed it... chains during shipping for example, you will see light surface rust form. I don't know why. I'm not a metallurgist. I am just telling you, what our steel company tells us... that the surface rust will form after this "rubbing" happens. I hesitate to even call it rust. It obviously is, you can tell that b/c of color. But it's very minimal. It's more of a discoloration than anything. I still don't feel this is a gimmick. We switched to the stainless steel b/c it's more rigid. The rust resistant characteristics are just a BONUS!!!

I know you can't give MSRP, but how much more or less $ does the "bonus" cost versus the steel version that it replaced. Ken Sweet

When we first replaced the Stainless Steel version with the standard version, we just swapped them out, and sold the stainless steel version for the price of the other one.

We've had a couple of price increases since that change was made a couple years ago, and as I don't make it a habit to keep old pricing laying around, so as not to accidentally distribute that pricing... I don't know. I don't deal with what stuff used to cost. I just know what it costs now. The smart money says there was a bump in price... but looking at what that they currently cost... It couldn't have been much.
