What size fire Extinguisher???

The ABC RED fire extinguisher is a low velocity type, meaning you will need to get closer to the fire before operating, in the 4-8 foot range. I know this by the design of the nozzle on the extinguisher. The bigger the horn on an ABC unit, the closer you will need to get to the fire. The silver unit is a 2.5 gallon water extinguisher. The range on this unit is 20-25 feet for the first few seconds. Be careful getting too close to the fire and pushing the fire to other areas with the water extinguisher. You can put your finger over the nozzle to break up the stream to reduce this problem.
