Might want to get an orange flag on the dipperstick, too.

It’s already orange, how much better could you get? It’s within the 3’ limit anyway.

I dont think color of the tractor counts as a replacement for a flag.
The other thing any old trucker like me will tell you, don’t give the cops any reason like that to pull you over, you never know what else they might find. ;)

Google says you can have 4 feet rear stick off. If you’re measuring from the end of the trailer I’m good, if you’re measuring from the taillights I might be in violation. But considering it’s orange and would take a cab over truck to hit it without first hitting the ramps I’m not that worried about it.

It's not my rig so I'm not worried either.

They say experience is something you need just before you get.

Would I regret getting a 14-16K trailer or is it always best to step up to a dual wheel 20-25K trailer?
You'd be fine with a good quality 14K with 14 ply tires. 16K is nice if you want to spend the extra cash. Basically the same weight with better brakes and stronger axles. 20-25K is overkill (and unnecessary extra weight and tires) for occasional hauling of a 10.5K machine, especially if you want to use the trailer for other things.
