What size trailer

In fact every forum has a "search" function, which is a great place to start. It helps keeping down tons of new postings on subjects that have been discussed in depth previously.

That's funny, my CK30 with boxblade fits on a measured 18' deck with feet to spare. A couple of feet that is, like two.

It'll fit on a 16' with a box blade, but most 16' have 3500 axles. I'm switching to a 22' with 6K axles as soon as finances allow.

I like the search and use it often. That being said, I don't agree with your statement to "Keep down postings". How many new people have come to this site that might have insight since the topic was last discussed? How many people have purchased trailers since then? How many have changed their minds since their last post? That is why we are on this site. I always think people should search first, then post if they still have any questions or want more input.
If the title is an old one, I would suggest not reading it if you don't want to, not tell them not to ask.
Just my thoughts /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I agree with rico304 as a new kioti owner I come to this site for information about problems or solutions. I do you try to find old posting but sometimes they dont answer or have the complete solution to the information I need. I feel the more questions posted helps everybody.

Ask away. I don't tire of talking about tractors and will be happy to repeat and rehash old discussions. Something new always comes up like that photo of a 3054 on a trailer, I hadn't seen that before.

Thanks for all the advice. I wound up buying a 18' dual axle 7k trailer. I know I'll be right at the max or maybe a little over, but decided to save a few dollars (vs. 10k trailer), as I will not be trailering the tractor much and when I do it wont be far. I looked at a couple of websites that had "package deals" and they were selling them with the 7k trailer so that made me feel a little better about my decision. Thanks again for the input.

Joe, I've got to get a tape measure to figure this one out. I think your base CK30 tractor length is 122" while my LK3054 is only 115". My trailer bed measures 18' even. However, as you can see in my previous picture, my tractor with a KL122 loader on front plus a quick hitch attached to my back blade on the 3PH barely allows me to close the rear gate. I guess I'll have to measure from the front of the tractor to the lip of the FEL bucket and get some measurements on the rear setup too. Hopefully you can do the same and we can determine why mine is such a tight fit. Also, I'm curious how much additional length (beyond the 3PH) a backhoe would add. Anybody?

Hey guys...have a ck20 with Loader and BH and now looking for a trailer to get it around with..I beleive a 16' maybe to small to fit it comfortably and will need an 18 or 20. My quetsion is where do you find a reasonably priced unit either new or used? Having trouble finding used units and haven't shopped the new trailer sales market. Am located in NE Pa. Any help would be appreciated.

I've looked for used units in local or regional Pennysavers (usually online). Also there may be other online sites like this one in Ct.

Or this one in NY

E-Bay is always another source.
You could probably get by with a 18' to 20' (overall length) dual axle (with brakes) landscaping trailer. They'e a lot less expensive than an equipment trailer and if you don't intend to trailer long distances frequently, more than enough for your needs.
