What teams will play in the next Superbowl?

I have 3 brothers and 2 of us have strong accents and 2 of us don't.

My mother's side of the family is Cajun, the name is Boudreaux. My dad is from the midwest but has been down there since his NAVY days so he's now a local.

What's fascinating is how many accents the general area of New Orleans has. A good ear can identify most.

When my mom was little, the schools in New Orleans did not allow French to be spoken, period.

When I was in elementary school they allowed some of us to take French but it was not popular with the parents because the teacher was from Belgium. "Dat ain't French, sha!"

Here is a primer for some of the dialects in New Orleans that was filmed in 1983, my Junior year of HS.

Had to keep checking the date of posts for some of these predictions. Despite having followed the Patriots since Belichick took over, I知 not making any predictions and neither are most of the guys I know. The two teams in the SuperBowl are full of incredible athletes, any one of whom could make a game-changing play on their own.

Furthermore, if you go back and listen to the first Rams/Patriots SuperBowl, the announcers didn稚 give the Patriots any chance of success, until they did. Folks here consider the Patriots being favored as a trap.

I think the Saints proved that they could beat the Rams, they also proved that no team can beat crooked officials that are wanting the other team to win. There were 3 major no-calls against the Rams in that game, with one keeping the Saints from the win they deserved.
The worst part abut the loss is that now we may never get to see a shootout between Brees and Brady, the two best quarterbacks in the NFL.
Boston and New Orleans probably could not be more different, bu there were a lot of people in New England who wanted to see that matchup. Brees is 38 and Brady 41. Not likely they will have another chance.

Sean Peyton endeared himself to Patriots fans by wearing the famous Goodell clown T-shirt barely concealed under his shirt. TMZ posted this picture.

Sean McVay is only 33. Bill Belichick is 66 and was 39 when he got his first head coaching job. One **** of an accomplishment.

Massachusetts has the second highest number of French-speakers in the US after Louisiana. The French called the region that today is Maine, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick "Acadie" and the people who lived there "Acadians." During the Seven Years War that area was taken by the British from the French and many of the French colonists were forced to relocate to Louisiana where the Acadians got their name shortened to "Cajun." Maine became part of Massachusetts and remained part of it until 1820. To this day there are large numbers of French-speakers in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire and cultural ties between them and Louisiana and Montreal.

Familiar with that since my grandfather was French Canadian. Growing up it was very common to hear French spoken in small businesses across the region. My father did his research at the Manchester, NH public library Franco American Center.

According to the Wiki, French is still the 2nd most-spoken language after English in Maine and Vermont, and third most spoken in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island (and Louisiana).

But I didn’t compare New England and Louisiana: compared Boston and New Orleans, about as different as two American cities can be. The Saints got shafted, and they have an Ally in Bill Belichick, who has long advocated for making everything reviewable.

For as much money as those idiots make, you'd think they could afford to buy EACH ONE of them a damball, so they wouldn't have to fight over the only one that they do have!!

What a waste of electrons!!

I'm just back from New Orleans today. As all of you know, New Orleans is world renowned for Mardi Gras parades. Today, New Orleans held many anti-superbowl parades and other activities to show why the New Orleans Saints are the REAL 2018, 2019 NFL Champions. In the over 60 years I have been watching Mardi Gras parades there has NEVER been a turnout like this of fans showing their respect for the Saints and their disdain for the NFL referees cheating them out of their superbowl.

Actually, hundreds of thousands of people were there from all over the country showing that they believe that the Saints are the REAL 2018, 2019, NFL Champions. We don't even know or care who won superbowl LIE because this was a complete farce. Because of this. Drew Brees, who is indisputably the best, most likable, fairest, and most respected quarterback of all time was not given the MVP of NFL award.

No other city in America has ever given any Superbowl champions a parade as large as this one or honored their team more then this city has. I can guarantee you that even if the Saints reduce Brees's pay 10 million dollars, he will be back next year to show everyone that the Saints are America's team and they can beat any team if the referees are fair.

Who dat say dey gonna cheat dem Saints? WHO DAT, WHO DAT, was the chant of hundreds of thousands of people, knowing that the California based officials were not going to let the Saints win against the Los Angeles Lambs no matter what they had to do.

Goodell (and the refs) were loudly booed. Just about everyone in New England wanted to play the Saints, who have actual fans who actually care about their team.

How many people were at the parade? We don’t have snowbanks this season, so Tuesday’s parade should be a record-breaker.

Don't know much about it, except they wear loud shirts, funny shoes and once in a while some celebrities boob jumps out. Then everyone gets really excited, because I guess it is kind of a boring game.

Yes, my great (x5) grandfather was born in Marlborough, MA in 1722. He died at age 22 fighting for the British in Louisburg, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia while kicking the French out who would later become the Cajuns down in Louisiana.
He left a widow and a 1 year old baby. I have a feeling (in my blood?) that leaving my great (x4) grandfather to be raised by a step-father and without any inheritance was instrumental in him moving to the "wilderness" of Vermont (then part of the disputed Hampshire patents, in conflict with New York claims) in 1775 to stake a claim. He got there just in time for the Revolution to break out and to be in the path of the British army as they made their way down from Canada. British didn't get far, they got whooped at Saratoga NY.

Ironically, after the British defeat at Saratoga; France, upon hearing the news, entered the war and gave support to the Revolutionists. The rest, as they say, is history.

Funny how in 1 generation things changed so radically.
