What would you change about your current John Deere tractor?

The factory cab that was available in Europe for the 4200 - 4400.

Yah, that brings to mind another (closely related) question.

I have noted here on TBN, that JD has also (maybe currently, too) offered cabs for the 2000 series of tractors in Europe - but not the US market.

Maybe the domestic market "bean counters" for JD could use a different abacus..

When you look at the difference in height of a 110tlb and the 4520 you will see that the cab needs to be taller on the 110. The ag cab would not work for various reasons. The Laurin and JoDale Perry cabs both fill the bill though. I am very glad I ordered the Laurin with the 110 it has been great.

Lets see;
On the 4110...... Parking brake not user friendly..... seperate light / glow plug indicator switch position / ............better MUFFLER ( less noise ).......... 3 rd transmission range...... redesigned mmm lift area for more clearance to frame......... available cab.
That about sums it up. The replacement will certainly have the above features.

Care to elaborate? I dont see why it would not work...obviously the cab couldnt be used "as is" due to the flipping of the seat, etc, but I dont see why it would need to be so tall... But the shape of the cab here isnt the question, we just want a FACTORY cab...

Dave,
You need the height to be able to get in and out of the seat when facing the backhoe. Just to clarify the J D rops on the 110 is the same height as the Laurin, so Deere must feel this height is necessary too. If you park a standard 110 canopy next to a 110 with a Laurin cab the height is the same for both.

You know I would have liked to order my 110 with a Deere cab in 2005 but couldn't get one, I have had mine five years last week and still no Deere cab. I am glad I did not wait.

Maybe parts of Europe require manufacturers to offer cabs as options. My JD shop manual for the 4200 - 4400 lists brake lights and a horn as equipment for European models. I've also seen pictures of European tractors with license plates on them, so that makes me think some socialist bureaucrat has his/her fingers in the pie telling Deere, et al to offer cabs.

Could be... But, it seems to me that offering a cab as an option (on the 2000 series) would also be a money maker.

I wonder how many buyers JD would have enticed into the dealer's if they would have offered "free hot chocolate" (or 25% off a new front/rear mounted snowblower) :) with their new cab tractor during the recent blizzards all up and down the eastern third of the country!?!?

The cab height or width or dimensions isn't really an issue... just having a JD designed and manufactured cab would be fantastic!

The 310 TLB can be purchased with a cab or with the open-station ROPS like it's little brother - the 110.

Having that option - that's the deal.

For my 6420 I wish it didnt rev down to low rpms on a large incline and a beacon light and front hitch. More power for my 673 disk 12' 2''. Wished i had a 7330 standard 20/20 power quad not the 16/16 like my 64. Haha lost the photo had to go through my farmphoto to find it.
