I would like to see Deere use steel insted of plastic. I would like to see rear hydralic outlets standard equipment. I would laso like to see more lighting, I have added more lights to every tractor I have owned.

How many times have you wanted to hop off, but you have to step on the brakes, lock the parking brake, put the tractor in neutral, throttle down, get off grab the one thing and then reverse the whole process.

Tell me about it...:confused2:

Have you guys noticed that just about everything that you want is available, for a price. Just need to get a different make or model and spend more $$$$$$$$$.

I would like to see the rear diff lock be a hand lever or a foot lever that locks in position.

But is there a model that has EVERYTHING we want (including what we already have and like)? ;)

Only a couple things I'd like on mine. One is already on the 2320 and 2520, more detailed 3ph control. 2nd would be a built in remote hydraulic spigot for the rear. Think my 4010 has it, just missing the spigot. Guess there's a kit for it.

One thing they ought to have is a built in hand pump to pump fuel from a container on the ground to the tank. Our old 240D had a built in hand pump that allowed priming of the system once a fuel filter was changed. This same kind of hand pump would work fine to pump fuel from a container to the tank. Heck, they could easily have a 12v one.

I would add a second hydraulic cylinder to me FEL Bucket and move the cylinders to the FEL arms like the B, L, and M series.

It appears that since I added a toothbar I could a higher breaking force to help dig up rocks.

Position control for the 3 pt. would be nice on mine. I also like the auto connect deck that's available on the Deere 1026R...or at least it will be when they finally start to deliver them. And, of course, the 3 range hydro.

It's a level that you push down by foot but must hold down.

Unlike a car or truck, the differential lock is a true lock. If it were held down all the time, you would build up tremendous stress in the axles when going around curves or hard turns. Best case you would tear up the ground, worse case you can break the axle or differential. The designers really want you to not be able to keep the axle locked.

I'd like a fuel tank and hydraulic system that is easier to fill on my JD 4300.
I've added the custom lights, radio, cigar lighter, gun case, chain saw holders, booster cable plug, roof, etc. I'd rather do these things to MY specs, where I can reach them, than have some engineer decide the cheapest place/way to do it....
I can't relocate the fillers however as the designers/bean counters got to them first.

On the other hand, my BIL wishes his little MF didn't need two right feet to operate the steering brakes and go pedal at the same time....

I ran a spool in my race car without problems. I have a 2000lb side by side that has a lever that locks in the rear then push it further and it locks in the front (talk about hard to steer). Sure if you try and drive on pavement it can do damage but like anything else if you read the manual it tells you not to.

Usually when I need to lock the rear diff I'm also trying to do other things like adjust an attachment so it's not digging as much or if going up a hill trying to pick a good line. Either way I would rather just push a lever than use one foot to hold a diff lock lever down. Of course when you are holding that lever down now you are kind of lifting yourself out of the seat, it doesn't take much on the newer tractors for the cut off to shut your engine down.

:eek:I would not change a thing, because I figure that Kubota has already built mine with years of experience and engineers that know the intended uses of this machine. Like others above, one can customize superficial things to ones own preference, but even then, a tool box....extra set of lights...etc. could create their own problems for accidents or unusal wear. If I wanted more power, speed(s) etc., I'd buy the appropriate model.

JD 3320.... Z-gate for shift lever so it is easier to know what gear I'm in. TOOLBOX, one big enough to put stuff in. Standard rear remotes. Finally self timing glow plug switch.

Kubota BX-23. Curl function on the FEL, I would change the valve so that the regen on the dump is at the far right past the detent. With a fully loaded bucket, the dump is so fast that the bucket bangs against the stops much too hard. I have had to reweld them on the loader arms. Either that or a cushioned curl cylinder. I would also like to have steering brakes for back dragging with the FEL.
