Ok, here is what we did..The High Low range was just the linkage not working correctly nothing internal.Evendently the Kubota is alot slower in low range than the Deere..

The oil leak was the missing gasket. They did a excelent job of reassembling the unit..

I told the dealer I would buy the unit if they would throw in a extra 3 yrs on the warrenty, JD warrenty..He said he couldnt do it because he was to close on the deal already(Price wise). so he called John Deere and explained the whole deal to them and they said they would pay for the extended warrenty..

So I now OWN a 2210 (In which I just love) with a 5 yr-2000hr warrenty...

Here are the details on my purchase..

2210 with R-1 tires.
54 inch deck.
54 inch 210 Loader
54 inch front blade w/angler
Weight Box
Imatch hitch
full set of Turf wheels and tires.
60 month warrenty
and a new John Deere Hat

Including taxes at 6.25%
Total price 14,183.00

Plus they took my OLD YM155D Yanmar on trade..Giving me 4000.00 $ for it leaving me with a out of pocket exspense of 10,183.00$ 0% intrest for 24 months..

I am very please so far. This tractor operates so much easier than the Kubota..Not saying the Kubota is bad my no means, but the Deere is easy to manuver and operate..

So this is the end of the story so far..

Thank you everyone for your support and help with my discision..I feel I made the right one..

That was an excellent choice for consideration of your troubles. It gives you piece of mind and JD will most likely never have to pay out on it. I think that is a real win-win out come for everyone involved.

I hope all of the TBN posters who have bad mouthed the JD brand in general, and some dealers in particular, take note that there is another side to the story.

Enjoy.

Put about 3 hrs on the unit this weekend and no leaks or anything, all good..

Should have my loader by the end of the week, so after I get back from Road America maybe I will get some seat time with the loader and report back..
