Wow. You have really derailed this one.

"snip"

.

Not trying to de-rail. Just trying to fill in missing information.

You make a comment like "higher flow and more pressure" yet your models specs cannot easily be found online. So I am asking questions. does high flow to you mean 20GPM? 40GPM? 100GPM? and does your high pressure mean 5000PSI, 6000psi?, 10000psi?

And you mention weight. I can look up what ~75HP ag tractors with loaders weigh, but have no idea if your JCB is a 8k machine or a 18k machine?

Just trying to get the info out there. Industrial machines are built for different purposes. What you need, it seems a industrial meets your needs. But what you view as benefits are often negatives for other applications. Just a wild guess that your machine is in the 12,000lb-14,000lb range. With small industrial tires and 4wd. A comparable ag tractor in similar HP range with loader would be in the 8k range. Both can have ~4k loaders. But with much larger R1 tires, an ag tire is gonna be better suited in the field plowing, discing, hauling hay to cattle on less than ideal days, etc.

Its not a measuring contest. A 75HP ag tractor is built for a different purpose than a 75HP TLB.

Why are you so hesitant to post us some specs on that JCB?
Operating pressure?
Flow?
3PH lift capacity?
Operating weight?

The whole 9 yards. A few pics or scans of then spec page in your operators manual would be useful. This is not a contest, just curious to see how the specs line up. So put them out there.......

I'm one to say that the JCB 208/210/212 machines are pretty cool. Strange looking, but cool. If I remember correctly, don't they offer a side-shift backhoe?

Also... I think it's silly to try to do a direct comparison between a CUT, an AG tractor, and industrial equipment. They are designed to be completely different animals.

Sorry duplicate

That would be great, getting on and off for the backhoe kills my knees

You are really obsessed with trying to prove my statements wrong. That's why you so desperately want the specs to my tractor. So you can some back and say "a such and such has similar hydraulic flow and the JCB is not double the flow of a such and such". That's what you have been doing since you made this statement " But what do you have other than 4 wheel steer that a 75HP ag tractor don't have?"

If it makes you feel better you are right. It's got nothing over a 75 hp ag tractor besides the 4 wheel steer. No advantage lifting. No weight advantage. No axle advantage. No tire advantage. No hydraulic advantage. Nothing. You are 100% right. IF I say anything you will just want to argue and I am tired of trying to defend my experience with these machines to you.

And if it makes you feel better you are right about the toolcat as well when you said "Probably most 40-45HP tractors with loaders will at least equal the weight of a toolcat". If I say anything different you will just want to argue about it and I'm tired of defending my experience with these machines to you.

My statements are based on my experience with a 45 HP Bobcat CUT, experience working around a toolcat, and my JCB. If you have a different experience with similar machines you are entitled to your opinion. If you read back through the thread others have tried to tell you same things I have. If you truly are interested in comparing industrial tractors specifications and ag tractors specifications I suggest you start a thread out of respect for the OP. I'm not taking your bait anymore.

I would like to see the subcompacts come with the same quick attach front bucket that the mini skid steers have .

That would be a great idea. You could run down and rent all sorts of neat attachments for projects. Something similar to a little terramite with 4 wheel drive would be pretty cool. Trencher or Backhoe on the rear with a loader or bucket on front would be really useful for so many things.

You make a point, what fills his need doesn't fill everyone's, but it fills his and many others. This isn't about which is better, it's about what would fill someone's specific needs. The industrial machines where much more popular before tracked skid steers and micro articulated loaders where common. The JD-210LE is an awesome machine, but there doesn't seem to be a more compact version made anymore. Compact and utility Ag tractors are great, but for grading, landscaping, etc the heavy industrials where much better.

Jd210LE
73 HP natural, 80 HP with turbo
5280 lbs lift; 7,900 break out
9130 lbs operating weight (includes loader, not sure about wheel weights)
4 speed, top speed 20.5 mph
25 gpm at 2200 rpm (14.4 gal cap)
3 pnt down pressure, and top n tilt
Swivel seat, so you can turn a bit to right and watch box blade and where your going at once, without getting "boxblade neck"

Now, to my point, I would like to see a scaled version in say, 40 and 60 hp,

Edit: I love a 5 speed power shuttle, they are simple as can be to operate, and a joy to use; However; I do understand that for Ag only having 3, 4, or 6 gears could be a major limiting factor, compared to 24 speeds on some actual farm tractors. The industrials general use non adjustable wheels as well,

Re Edit; they also have lower ground clearance and with it, awesome stablity. My friend and neighbor likes on a working 800 acre cattle ranch, and has an industrial Massey (Mf30?) That he Hates. It doesn't suit his purposes, low to the ground, heavy as ****, but it was build for building parking lots, not working a farm.

I am not trying to prove anyone wrong. And dont know why you are taking it that way.

There is a highly valuable website called tractordata that we can look at specs from just about every tractor made. Tire size, weights, lift capacitys, hydraulic flows, etc.

Not any good resources for construction equipment. I couldnt find any info at all on JCB 212su. Thats why I asked the question.

Does it have double the flow of a 76HP MF 3630 @ 12.7gpm, or 80hp deere 5080R, which is 14.8GPM with 17.2gpm optional? Or double the flow of a 80HP deere 6100 @ 25GPM

Does it have a 3PH that will lift ~3500# like some 75-80HP tractors? Or 8000lbs+ like some other 75-80HP tractors? or something in between?

Whats the weight? Some heavier ones in the 75-80HP range can be 9000#+. some of the lighter ones are 5000#+/-

Again, not trying to argue, not trying to prove anyone right or wrong. Its clear you like the JCB212. Heck, I might like it but have no idea at all cause I dont know what the specs are? It sounds like they are possibly similar to the JD210??? Good strong hydraulics and hoe in a tight little package that is very maneuverable with 4-wheel steer? But how much better does that make the steering? How much weight is over the 4 smaller tires? Is it a tank? or tread relatively lightly? Does the loader have enough height to load a dump truck? ETC ETC ETC.

This is TBN. We like specs and like to compare specs. Perhaps someone reading this tread looking for a ~75hp machine to do some farm work as well as loader hoe work, the 212 might be a better fit than any ag offerings, but how are we supposed to know?

You make a point, what fills his need doesn't fill everyone's, but it fills his and many others. This isn't about which is better, it's about what would fill someone's specific needs.

Agreed. I am not trying to make a distinction that one is better than the other. We all know tractors. And in a given size class, say 75-80HP, some are going to be better in some areas and some better in others. Its a give and take. Sometimes size and weight is good (plowing or lifting heavy). Sometimes More HP in a smaller lighter package is better (heavy PTO work like brush hogging).

Now, to my point, I would like to see a scaled version in say, 40 and 60 hp,

Agreed. Would like to see more offerings like kubota, with the L39, L45 and M59. Kubota seems to be the only one that currently makes the smaller TLB's.

Edit: I love a 5 speed power shuttle, they are simple as can be to operate, and a joy to use; However; I do understand that for Ag only having 3, 4, or 6 gears could be a major limiting factor, compared to 24 speeds on some actual farm tractors. Certainly a limiting factor. I have 1/2 the HP of what we are talking about here and only a top speed of 13.5MPH, and have 8-speeds. And often times I wish I had more. When mowing the field, sometimes I wish I could go a bit faster, but the next gear may make a 1.5-2MPH jump and just too much for either power or ride comfort.
