When mowing the field, sometimes I wish I could go a bit faster, but the next gear may make a 1.5-2MPH jump and just too much for either power or ride comfort.

Ahem.... cough, cough.. Hydrostat! But you knew that. :D Sorry, could not resist.:mischievous:

That is certainly the answer on smaller tractors.

But the 60+ HP tractors.......more gears are better

More and more larger high end tractors are going with the Infinitely Variable Transmissions.

I would like to see some simple but functional stuff: More and BETTER headlights, better rear work lights, a light on each side of the tractor for narrow places or stepping off the tractor, turn signals, a tool box and fire extinguisher standard on every model, something like a small glove box to put your phone or house keys in, cigarette lighter with USB port to power your USB device. In short, more creature comforts and safety features.

I would like to have a good hitch on my sub compact Massey. The one I have looks like they got it off of a murry riding mower. Ed

Great ideas. And I predict we will see more and more of them over time, just like we saw more and more creature comfort's on the pick up trucks.

I'd like 20 more hp on my 2720, a factory cab and an Infinitely Variable Transmission.

What would you like to see in a tractor, maybe your version of the idea tractor. Here's what I would like to see and believe there is at least a small market for. I want the tractor manufacturers to go back to making tractors like the old row crop tractors of the 40's and 50's. Something like the old JD A's, B's, H's, Farmall A's, Cub's, AC B's and even the old G. These were great old tractors and were set up for farming, of course I would like to see updated engines, hyd's and PTO's. There just not anything out there to choose from for the small farmer in row crop tractors, at least that I know of. Well there is a company that makes a knock off of the AC G. I would also like to see the implements made to go with them like the old cultivators and planters that mounted on the tractor. My Brother has a couple of Farmall A's, one with cultivators and one with planters and they are great for large garden and small farming operations. What about y'all, what would you like. Heck it's almost Christmas, we can all dream.

Buddingh makes a lot of belly mounted implements that would have been used way back when. I've used the Tuff-bilt (modern day Allis G) it's a slick little machine has a rear and belly 3ph.

Thanks fatchance, I looked the Buddingh styff up and it's interesting. The Tuff-bilt unit look real nice, I've studied on them some but can't pull the trigger on one. I have a neighbor that has a G, but I can't talk him out of it. It's his young sons parade tractor.
