One added thing to my earlier post: I have done the same thing when I first got my CK20, and it HAS a red light in the dash to tell you. I just didn't look at the dash! I only drove a little as I could feel it was not going as it should. I later adjusted the brake a little tighter, and now if I try to go with it on, the HST pressure relief kicks in and lets me know. If you have concerns about the Hydrofluid, it doesn't cost that much to change it out. If you think it got that hot, I'd change it just to be sure. You want good lube properties after all. John

I did that with my new B7800. I drove it about 25 yards before I noticed the brake was partially on. The only thing I noticed was a small bit of material that looked like brake lining or tranmission band material in my HST fluid when I changed it and the filters at 50 Hours. The material was trapped in the line filter screen. So make sure you take the screen out and clean it when you do the service. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Probably not. Since you state that the brakes still work.
When setting the brake on my B2910 I set them heavy enough to make sure the tractor will not move with them on. That way when I try to move the tractor it will be very noticeable.
Brakes on the B2910 are wet type meaning that they run in the transmission oil. This allows them to get hot with out damage.
I did have a problem with the brakes not releasing. Found that lever was on its shaft to tight. Loosened up the nut that holds lever on shaft so that lever would release just by hitting the brake pedals.

Well all is good in tractorland again. I just redid the hydrostat portion of the 50 hour service and I think I'm glad I did. The transaxle fluid didn't look quite right, so I figure I probably overheated it. Since I only had 18 hours on it and it was SuperUDT hopefully it protected everything from my stupidity. There were a couple of metal flakes on the screen, but nothing like the 50 hour service . .maybe 3 small bits. The fluid coming out of the powersteering and the mid-PTO looked clear as a bell. I thought all of the systems shared the same fluid . .doesn't the transaxle fluid circulate through those systems?
Anyway, all new filters, and I ever drained and refilled the front axle. I figure when I hit 100 hours I'll drain/refill it again and then it should be good for 200 hours.

I know what I told the moron that took my new B2910 shortly after I got it and dragged a 60' long, 2-1/2' diameter walnut log uphill almost a quarter mile with the parking brake on. Well maybe I better not repeat it here. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I just try to check the brake pedal more often now, but even today I caught myself doing it once again. The problem is that the tractor has so much power, you don't notice the drag from the brakes.

Tighten up your brake so that you will not do this again. My neighbor had this problem. We tightened up the pedal so that you would know that something was wrong if you tried to drive away with it on.
