Whatever happened to Paul?

Whew, tough task there... fortunately I have some 4-year old archives saved, from the old old old original Kubota forum. Those that I can match up with current members would be...

Steve Carver
RichardB (doesn't post much)
Hawgee (haven't seen him since August)

In random order, of course... but they've all been around for about 4 years... some of them as long as me. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I believe Mark Chalkley, Bird, and Thomas were present on the old Kubota forum, but the list I posted would be from maybe 3-4 months before they might have posted. I'd have to dig even more, I think. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Ok, I've confirmed Mark and Thomas as having posted on the original forum... "from the archives" ...

Hydraulic upgrade for L3600? - Mark Chalkley

Does anyone know if there is a hydraulic pump available for the Kubota L3600GST tractor in the 12+ gpm range (at 2500+ PSI)? Either a "twin" OEM type or a add-on front mount would be acceptable. I'm not interested in a PTO mount. Thanks!

And the lone reply...

Re: Hydraulic upgrade for L3600? - Jimmy

Could you tell us why you need more?

All too familiar questions from Mark, I'd say. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Wow! I remember those days! I do remember Mark always asking for bigger pumps, larger cylinders, bigger tires ect/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

It is great though, to see how big and comprehensive the list has become. The resources here, and the good attitude, is impressive!

Muhammad, I used to visit this site when it was Kubota.com. I guess you had the name before Kubota. I never registered and when I finally did, I did it as Paddock. I suppose I could go back and use Paddock, the International tractor owner and Rat, the L48 owner. You can call me Rat, or you can call me Paddock or you can call me Mark, just don't call MChalkey

Muhammad, thats right. I remember doing a search for Kubota and coming up with this site. Back then as I recall Kubotas presence on the web was very limited. This was the best source by far to get some kind of input from owners of various makes and models. Prior to this site, a fella by the name of Phil Greenspun had a site called photo.net that was about the best thing going. Thanks, Mark Ratermann

Re: Whatever happened to Paul? ...the old site(s)

Even though I haven't been posting a lot lately, I know that I have been posting on Muhammad's boards since the summer of 1997 (I think that there were only three boards...). Somewhere I have some posts I copied and saved from the original board that is now acrhived from where I upgraded my computer a year or so ago. One of the discussions involved a really good "layman" explanation of "Draft Control" vs "Position Control".

Yes Kelvin, I remember you also... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif You've been around as long as the others I mentioned, I think.

Muhammad - Boy, that brings back memories. Except for that original question, I've gotten some really good information from TBN! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
