Smokey, this problem has been eating at me something awful, I can't imagine how you feel about it. Would it be possible to shove yourself back down the hill with the loader to get your rig leveled up some? I'm thinking that the pump might be starving and that might be the sound you hear when you hit the pedal.
I had a similar problem when I was facing downhill to a steep degree. We changed the pickup in the tranny and that cured it.
Other than that I'm totally out of answers.
