what's in a name?

Re: what\'s in a name?

When I brought my BX 1800 home last fall I named him Krusty because he was such a tough little tractor. This spring I took the loader and ballast box off to mow and his personality seemed to drastically alter so in that condition he sports the name Stubby. Now his name bounces back and forth between Krusty and Stubby whenever he goes into the telephone booth.

Re: what\'s in a name?

Orange,
Your wife is probably right /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

No names for my tractors, etc either. My wife however names her cars and stuff like that. Just does not make sense to me, its not like they will answer to their name when you call....

I do from time to time call them some bad names when having difficulty though /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: what\'s in a name?

This question has been asked on occassion in the past. Here's a link Tractor Names? to one of those past threads. A search for "tractor names" will provide more info. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: what\'s in a name?

In line with your original question, I guess I should've added that the name FunBuggy for the golfcart was awarded by a fellow TBN'er.

Now granted, FunBuggy is not a tractor, although I'm waiting for someone to grant honorary tractorship to her. BUT, I can guarantee you that she provides as big of a smile on my face as anyone else's tractor does on their face! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: what\'s in a name?

Garry, haven't you been following the what is a tractor thread ? Sounds to me if you can pull something with it it is a tractor /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
That seems to be the difference between riding lawnmower and lawn tractor...pulling something.

Let me get this straight........

when the strap holding my golf clubs on the back of the cart became uncinched, and my golf bag fell backwards half off the cart, and the cart was pulling (O.K., O.K. dragging the bag - but let's not split hairs here!)......

FunBuggy became a tractor then?? /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Muhammad, I want a new discussion forum for golf carts!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: what\'s in a name?

TC18guy,

Just add up the number of engine cylinders you own. Car V6 = 6, TC18 = 3, weed whipper = 1, etc
