Re: what\'s in a name?

Golfgar,
I think your cart would fit under the ATV/Utility category.
Is it electric or gas ? If electric I don't think it is a tractor.

Re: what\'s in a name?

Golfgar4,

Forgive me if this has been asked before...so you actually take your own golf cart to the links???

I am in the search/study phase of trailer purchase...so this is really intersting. How about a photo? Tilt bed trailer by chance?

Now don't tell us you live on one of those places where the golf course is your back yard and you just drive the cart to the first hole! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: what\'s in a name?

OrangeGuy.... can't we include hydraulic cylinders? Please?

Then I'd have Excursion=10 + Ziggy=3+4 + dump trailer=1 + Junior=2 + pushmower=1 + weed whacker=1 + chainsaw=1*2 for CI of 24. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: what\'s in a name?

Rozett,

I don't remember the "official" definition for CI/CPI, but it goes something like this...fluids go in, hot air comes out. No wait thats the definition of the guys down at the local watering hole. Combustible fuels in, hot air out. The boys up here in Minnesota wouldn't accept hydraulic cylinders.

Up here 50 is a pretty good score for personal ownership, 100 puts you on a short list, my old boss was over 200.

</font> It's gas. It's a whole lot easier to get a small can of gas if you run out on the 15th hole, rather than trying to find an electrical outlet in the rough! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I wish! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No, I don't live on a course. My sister does, however. She and her husband built in a golf course community. Their lot happens to be adjacent to the 9th green. And she has found out that living there does have some drawbacks. For example, during the season, they can't do anything outside that makes noise on Saturdays or Sundays. You know, like mow the lawn, or plant a bush. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Sorry Bill, I don't own a trailer at this time. I leave the cart at the course. They have a storage building for all of the carts, and people who own their own can rent space. When I do need to move it, I can either borrow a friends trailer, or it actually will fit in the back of a full sized pick-up. But I don't haul it around very much. For one thing, that's a bit of hassle. For another, a lot of courses won't let you use your own cart, and if they do, they charge the same rate as if you were using theirs.

In fact, I'm considering selling it. I've got a friend who's moving to Arizona to one of those "communities" where you can drive golf carts around on the streets. He wants to buy it and take it with him. I've got the rest of the summer to decide, but I am considering it.
