Not a farm, but a railway station in Norway
Picture of ****: Railway Station
Very popular amongst english talking tourists. Gods expedition=goods handling

Thanks for the memories. We were actually in that lovely town several years ago. As English speakers we did find the name amusing.

I guess this question is after funny names but my true favorite is the one I live on.

Our place is named Meadowlark Ranch after the Meadowlarks that seem to love it here. We have both a resident population and a migratory population of them and love to listen to their calls. By most standards, it isn't much of a ranch or farm but the birds and other wildlife love it here almost as much as family members.

The farm names don't need to be funny; just ones you like, especially if they evoke some sort of mental image, tell a story or gives some insight as to the property or occupants. Meadowlark Ranch does that for me.

In Oregon our place was named "Springwood" because we adjoined 1600 acres of virgin forest (9ft - 11ft diameter Doug Fir trees!) and our property in mature second growth still had some spring board 'high stumps' from when the first logging was done with misery whips and axes. We also had several springs on the property but mostly "springwood" is the new growth of a tree. For us it was a period of growing too.

On a humorous note, some hippies in the 70's had a commune down the way. They aptly called their place "Space Acres".

I call my place Crabby Spring Acres.
My Mom and I started calling each other Crabby back in the late 70's and the spring can be a bit temperamental in the flow department.

I have a high school buddy who is now a dentist in Marshall, Tx - - he owns "Tooth Acres". He named it after a place from our hometown, Gatesville.

Also, I knew a couple of PhD's who named their place "Pair a docs".

Suntrap Ranch is one that I liked. The owner said he named it because of the way the valley that his cabin sat in "traped the sun."
