We're not really a farm -- just 40 acres of Michigan woods, a big garden, and 30-odd chickens. But in honor of the chickens and the prevailing weather we call our place "Cold Feathers Farm."
How about "Happy Effen Acres." It's what us guys at the hunting club call our land. I always wanted to have a son and make his middle name "Effen." Insert "Effen" as your own middle name and pronounce it out loud.
Since I love my privacy and love to have others wonder about my sanity! I love to call my place "Go Away Gulch" Although in Maine you don't find many gulches!!!! One of these days I will have a sign made.
We call our place "Fee Fi Faux Farm". The kids named it after reading "Jack in the Beanstalk". I always love the smiles when someone figures out the play on words.
I use to travel I30 east of Dallas and read the name of ranchs along the highway, one with the big mansion was Rafter A , another along there was an arch over the road that had five red hearts painted on it, I don`t know if he won it with a flush in a poker game or not, there is also one with nice white painted fences and I think the sign says 422ed Div. maybe his old service outfit?
I don't remember the name of the farm but under the name the sign said 40 acres of weeds and worry. My father in law has chickens and lives near a boat ramp called Whitley creek. I always call his place whitley creek clucker farms. He has talked about putting up a sign that says that.
