Gerber straight edge with pocket clip. Same knife for years. Used every day, easy to sharpen, holds the edge well also.

I have been carrying an Old Timer, (Schrade) 340t, for years. I'm on about my 6th one...

I carry a small Buck -nickel ends going to work- handy and sharp. At home I have a larger Buck with the brass ends (3 of these actually- misplace them and find them!) that I use for electrical, wood shingle work, cutting twine etc.. Always sharp, always comfortable to use.

I have been carrying a Buck Folding Hunter for well over 30 years, had to have the leather belt case re-built but the knife has performed every task I tried.

Cadet 303 for too many years to remember. If it can't go there I don't go there. Use all kinds for special purposes but this little feller is a constant companion.

I fail to keep a knife . Within a matter of hours i will put it down , stick it in a bale or throw it in a cab and never see it again !

Love that knife. I carried one that I had since 1986. Used for hunting and lost it two seasons ago after field dressing a deer. Even went back with a metal detector.but could never find it.

The Kershaw double Cross for me. It looks kind of traditional but you can open it with one hand, nice blade shapes and you can get it razor sharp. It holds an edge fairly well too. Not to big in your pocket.

I carry a Victorinox Swiss Army Officer's knife and have abused about 8 of them over the last 30 years. It's amazing how often I use it and I feel naked if it's not in my pocket. One 2" blade,a larger slot screwdriver with bottle opener and wire straightener,a smaller slot driver with canopener and a nail file.

Of the dozens and dozens of knives I've purchased over the years. I would not go anywhere without my Leatherman on my belt. I've found I've needed a plier or screwdriver as often as I've needed a knife. Just 10 minutes ago I discovered the vent came detached from my dryer. With the laundry room being incredibly hot and humid from running with the vent blowing the hot moist air into the small room. I needed to work fast, thankfully I could reattach the hose and tighten the gear clamp due to the leatherman on my belt.

Old three bladed Case. Used only as a knife. Carry a 3'' pair of vice grips for ruining stuff- when I am to lazy to get the right tool.

I've had this one for over 15 years. It does a lot things well, good for the pocket, not what I would use for skinning or cleaning fish but you could get bye with it if you had to. I use just about everyday for something usually to cut up my lunch......and believe it or not I killed a feral hog with it once.

It's a knock off of a Boker, a more expensive German knife of good quality, but 100$ more.
I paid 12$ for four just like it, and I gave the other 3 away:thumbsup:.

I had a leatherman, but it seemed to me to that it could do a lot of things..... but none very well at all, so I gave it away. I bought many knives for what I paid for that. But then again, I don't like Dremel tools either.

I wonder sometimes just how often somebody uses the can openers or bottle openers on their "Boy Scout" type knives. Mine has both but they have never been unfolded. Maybe I am a minority but to me a knife is basically used as a knife and nothing more.

Thru the years I have been given a lot of the Tool kits in a Knife and have never really got into carrying one. I would put one on my belt after getting it and wear it for a while but after non-use for several months it would find its way back in to a drawer some place, I do carry one in my saddle bag but cannot really say that I have ever had to use it. I have a friend that is a saddle maker that made me a set of saddle bags that has a gun holster in one side and the other side a holster for a box of shells and a Leatherman!
