You know those days when the ground won't support you (to muddy, etc...) on the tractor, you have to stick around the house for an appointment, or it's OhDarkThirty and sleeping isn't working? After you've exhausted all the great specific search terms like "tractor", "saw", "UTV", "winch", "tiller"... on SearchTempest, Statewidesearch, or Zoomthelist what general search terms have you found yield interesting results?

A couple I like are "Hydraulic" or "Diesel" to drum up variety in my window shopping.

I usually resort to YouTube. I can waste hours there.

I'm kidding...I've never been that bored. :)

Ok, I googled it. Kim Kardasian popped up right away. Hopefully my wife isn't checking my computer.....

My 'go to' site is Drew Curtis' FARK.com , it's a news site with unusual/funny/topical/weird stories from all over the world.

Music/Youtube has to be HANDS DOWN Scott Bradley's PostModern Jukebox... they are fantastic! (and I'd better stop myself now or I'll rave about them 'til my fingers bleed). Suffice it to say that I've got over 70 of their re-mixed songs on my iPod!

Scott Bradley is the pianist and arranger.

I usually just type into my address bar what I want to search for ie; L E D Lights, in less than a second 200,000,000 results. Then just go from there.

I just go to a couple knife forums ans hangout. I am trying to learn how to make knives and I want to learn what I can before I start. Ed

We had a guy at the tool and machine shop that would use scraps of tool steel and make all manner of knives...

After awhile, he became quite good...

I "go to" the barn and search for all the tools I've mislaid and never put away.

TBN, web sites about Formula 1 racing and you tube auto racing mostly. YouTube can take me anywhere though.

I visit some of the other forums such as Oil, Owning/Operating, ATVs, and John Deere. I don't have much of a mechanical background and now that I have lots of toys way out in the country there is a lot of info that I can use. I always find something that fills a knowledge gap.

But I agree with going to the shed to find missing tools. I have too much stuff -- both useful and nostalgic/collectable -- so I can always use a few hours working on the organization of my stuff. Its a different kind of search but a search nonetheless.
