Whay weight synthetic should i use?

I have recently purchased a Kubota B7800 and i want to use the Amsoil synthetic motor oil. My question is i don't know which one to use for my tractor. Are there any Kubota owners out there that use Amsoil in their tractor?
If so what weight do you use or would recommend.
My tractor has 20 hours on it now and the engine is diesel.

The Kubota manuel recommends SAE30, 10W-30 or 10W-40
above 25 degrees.
Engine oil: API Service classification CD, CE or CF

Piper—I use their 15w-40 HDD&M oil. I feel their series 3000 is overpriced and it is not worth the extra money, nothing really added for the price. Used it (15w-40 HDD&M ) in all my diesel toys since 1997 and works great!

Plus the freeze point is like –45 so pour point is around –20 degrees. Also I think the 15-w40 has a better additive package then a 10-30 or 10-40

If their Series 3000 is so great, compare it to their 15w-40 HDD&M oil and see what the results are.

a 15w40 is a 15w40 regardless of blend mix if it specs a 10w or 5w use a 5w

So are you stating that a 100% synthetic 15w-40 is the same as a regualar 15w-40?? If so, that is wrong.

I would not use a 5w-30 in a diesel since there is no need and a 15w-40 does have a better add' package. I believe in Amsoil's case the freeze temps are very close so what does there 5w-30 Series 3000 get? Only a higher invoice or bill.

Most diesel oils today are pretty good just know what you are looking for and wha there going rate or price is.

I went with Mobil 1, 10W-30 and added a block heater, I think I am ready for winter now. Good thing, we have 10 inches of the white stuff on the ground today. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I plan to change oil and filter every 100 hours as per mfg recommendations. With dino oil I was changing every 50 hours the oil and filter.
