Well I celebrated my first flat on my BX23 last night with about 200 hours on the clock, it was one of the fronts. As many have posted the turfs aren't that tough, turns out it was just a thorn. I can't believe I got a flat mowing the lawn after many hours with the brush hog and tiller this spring, lucky.

After searching around I realized the only thing I had to take off the 19MM lug nut was a 3/8" drive ratchet and a pretty short extension.

WOW, those bolts were on TIGHT. It took a 5' cheater bar to get them moving and at that I used some good force.

Is there a torque value I can put them back on too. I don't think I could ever get them that tight again.

The BX23 uses the same torque specifications as the BX22 and BX24.

Front tires = 110 to 132 ft-lbs

Rear tires = 80 to 96 ft-lbs.

That's a lot of torque for the fronts (not disputing your word).

Me too but thats what the book says. I don't torque anywhere near that tight. But again I slime em all and just be done with it.

CRBR, I agree. That IS a lot of torque. I have always assumed that the high torque was a result of the demands imposed by the FEL.
