Thanks Greg, It sure seemed the rubber hose I replaced carried fuel, as it was leaking/pumping fuel when the engine was running and no leaks when not running

might a been the fuel return line hose to the fuel tank, instead of crankcase ventilation hose Ed

Well, the fuel return lines are near the valve cover. But they don't go into it. Steel lines carry pressurized fuel up to the injectors (near the valve cover). But the injectors don't ever use all the fuel delivered. What's not used for one combustion cycle is carried back to the tank on those thin black hoses. The fuel just keeps making a loop. So maybe it was a piece of return hose you're talkin' about. If true, then yes. They may look braided outside, but they're rubber inside.

Hello All,
Don't mean to hi jack your post, but if my Jinma motor is a 395 and an EPA Motor, am I good with the new fuel?

Better to add an additive to your fuel such as Power Service. The problem with ULSD is the reduced lubrication of the top end of the engine. I guess the newer diesels have hard valves and seats.
Anyway, Power Service additives do lube the top end. A quart bottle goes quite a ways and should last you a season.
Make sure you read the instructions when adding the Power Service (or what ever you use) to the fuel.
