So glad to hear that you didn't get a sunburn on your back...!

You might look into Farm Family for your insurance. They cover me even when I do some side work for others - to cover that and transporting my tractor and having it on other properties was an additional $300/yr. They cover damage to the tractor even from things like roll overs. The funny thing was, I upped my coverage, I upped the insured amounts, and saved 30% over my previous discounted insurer's policy. I do the house, farm, and vehicles through them and have not had any complaints.

Brother does have a Farm Policy that he likes... I really don't have a farm... just some acreage with woods.

Hear only good things about USAA from friends...

Note that my USAA homeowners only covers it because I only use it on my property. If I were using it elsewhere, I'd need additional, different coverage. I know they farm their RV, ATV (for recreational riding off the property) and boat coverage out to Progressive. Don't know what, if anything, they'd do for tractors and mowers used elsewhere - they're really not in the commercial business.

When Mom was turned down for membership they said she could still purchase different products through Progressive as a non-member and I declined.

Almost 60 years of claim free history with the auto club except last year when her Corolla was stolen when she was at a doctor appointment.

Note that I have decided to convert the old 1430 tractor and selected attachments to the larger, thicker T-12 QA plates rather than the T-8 size. (That's assuming it can readily be done - visiting Terry in Tazewell tomorrow).

I'm selling several used, and some duplicated T-8 attachments. I've posted a separate topic. Some I simply will not replace, but I'll go a different direction instead...

Picked it up yesterday and stopped by Tazewell. Found out that the tub is 4" wider than a new 1430, so there is no built-in ROPS solution. The tub is the same width as a new 1850, but the pattern is different. So, back to plan B - have my old 425 ROPS modified to fit, strengthening it for the additional weight, and adding new mounting plates if needed. I know a guy who builds race car cages, so....

Hope to get the burned carcass moved out of my garden in the next couple days so I can start stripping parts, and get him working on the ROPS.

BTW, I had Terry look at it on Monday. Seems they can't readily come up with a plan to convert it to T-12 QA. Arms are different, and geometry is different. Preliminary measurements show my T-8 QA might fit - so that's the approach I plan to take. Meanwhile, it looks like I may have sold the whole package of my now undersized T-8 attachments that I listed in my "clearance sale."
