Where are buying your Branson parts?

That's really unfortunate that big red is shutting down.

You can try Dave's Tractor in Red Bluff CA. They're a long time Branson dealer. They're pretty good about answering email and calls.

To everyone worried about part reliability for branson with Big Red closing down, from what i was told they are changing ownership of the dealership to another party who is hoping to have everything back up and running by mid summer next year, but for now there are still many dealers out there who can help you, (Epperson Tractor in plainview, tx)( Big Tex Tractor Co. in caddo mils, tx) as well as (Mathis Tractor Is Georgia) any of these guys can help you get part or technically advise, as well as many others just look up the Branson dealer locator on their main site.

I have been considering a cab tractor for a while now and am leaning towards a Branson. I have not seen one in person but they look good on paper.

While trying to understand the difference between the 20 and 25 series I decided to call Big Tex in Caddo Mills, TX today. A very respectful young man answered the phone and immediately put me through to Michael the Sales Manager. He could not have been any more pleasant to visit with. I explained that I was not ready to pull the trigger yet but wanted to compare the 4225c and 5220c. They have both models on the yard and welcomed me to come kick the tires. I will be going next weekend to check them out and visit with Michael. While I am there, I will inquire about parts availability through them and report back for you guys.

I don't think there's a huge difference, but the 25 is a newer line.

Two years ago I briefly compared the 3520h & 3725H (both ROPS); I couldn't find enough difference to justify (if I recall correctly) about $3k and as it was I had already come up from Kubota L2501 (huge difference in tractor for a relatively small difference in price!).

I'm curious to hear your opinions of the two tractors you're considering.

Since you're talking about cabbed tractors. Some people have reported that the 20 series didn't come with AC. You can confirm it by the dealer but I tust wanted to make sure that you are aware of that.

I was not aware of that. No A/C will definitely rule out the 20 series. A/C is the thing I need the most. I have MS and heat knocks me back quick.

Did not mean to get thread off topic. Apologies to the OP.

I believe the original 20 series cabbed tractor could be ordered with A/C as an option. I don't believe it came standard with A/C. I did personally look at a new cabbed 20 series 2 years ago when I was tractor shopping at my dealer that did not have A/C (just had heat). I do think there are 20 series cabbed tractors running around now that do have A/C, but I am not positive.

I know that the cabbed 25 series comes standard with A/C (and heat), because I have one. There were a few other differences at the time, but I also think the "new" 20 series has an updated cab and all that may have changed now. I think they went back on the 20 series and put the "same" cab on it that the 25 series has, or at least copied the cab layout and features. As I believe the "new" 20 series cab has the bigger cab with more headroom that the 25 series came with when it hit the market 2 years ago.

I don't know why Branson has blurred the lines so much between the older 20 series tractors and the new 25 series tractors (with both still in production) , but it does get a bit confusing. I believe when the 25 series came out originally, it was intended to be a more feature rich model series than the 20 series. Then they went ahead and redesigned the cab on the 20 series anyway. The website doesn't do a very good job of answering these questions either. Hopefully your Branson dealer can shed more light on all this for you.
