I saw you on the map and since I have been curious on the location of Mt. Washington, I took a look.
I used to live in Louisville almost 30 years ago. Dang that is a long time ago! I found my old house on the Sat photo. I can't believe how much development has taken place! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif The woods I used to play in are all filled with houses....

"Metro Louisville" as it's now known is out of control with development. Several counties in Kentucky, as well as a few on the Indiana side of the Ohio River are booming. Farms are being sectioned up and turned into subdivisions at an alarming rate. Supposedly, Louisville is one of the cheapest places in the nation for cost of living. That's changing fast. We bought in the Mt. Washington area to get away from some of Louisvilles development, and now it's started here too. The back side of our farm borders a subdivision that's full of $400,000+ homes. Never thought I'd see the day...........
Still, Mt Washington retains that
"Mayberry" feel. Something very comfortable about a place where kids can play in the park, people walk to church, and everyone waves when you drive past.
