I don't have all the receipts sitting in front of me, but I think I can hit pretty close from memory. I think the front rims and rear rims from Hey Machinery ended up costing me about $580. I had to sand them down and paint them JD yellow, but they were new wheels and ended up looking great after I took my time and painted them right.
I got one new front tire 12.5/80-18 R4 Titan Contractor II for $102 on an eBay auction. I was supposed to get two for that price but the seller decided to screw me. They ran a no reserve auction and it didn't go as high as they thought it would, so they only sent me one tire to cut down on their loss. (I'm still working on getting some of my money back or the other tire, but I now see that the seller has nearly 26,000 negative feedbacks!!
They admit that they screwed me but don't care. Ebay doesn't care either. The seller pays so much in fees to them that eBay turns a blind eye towards people getting screwed. A seller having cheated 26,000 people is unreal. That doesn't even count the tens of thousands who left "neutral" feedbacks when they got cheated. Having them still allowed on eBay only proves eBay doesn't give a crap about protecting buyers!)
I got my 2nd matching front tire from Madisonville Tire in Madisonville, KY for $180. I got my rear tires, Titan R4's in 19.5L-24 from a tire dealer in Arkansas. To save money on my set of tires, I bought blems on the rear. The only way I can tell they are blems is that the fine print part that states you can get a free manual on the tires from Titan is mostly missing. Otherwise they look fine, mounted fine, and drive fine. I took the tractor out and drove it a mile or so on smooth asphalt to see if they would wobble or shake but they don't. They cost me about $464.
I know that is a really round about way of getting the 2nd set of wheels and tires together, but it worked out okay. It's a complete set; I don't use the centers or any part of the original wheels. Even though I got a good deal on the one front tire from the eBay auction, it still ticks me off that the seller admittedly cheated me. I'm working with eBay on the deal, but it's obvious eBay doesn't care. They got their fees. I would never have bid if I'd known the seller had screwed nearly 26,000 people! That has to be some sort of record on eBay. It also removed any possible respect I had for eBay trying to protect the buyers. So far the seller has offered half of the amount I paid towards an "in store" credit with them after telling me that they just couldn't send me the other tire listed in the auction because the bidding didn't go as high as they hoped. I may not have much of a choice, but I'm not very comfortable that whatever I'd spend that money on would ever arrive. Oh well, live and learn. I guess I'm mostly surprised that eBay does absolutely nothing to a seller who has tens of thousands of negative feedbacks!!
