Where do I put Howes, tank or container?

I have used Howes since day 1 in my tractor. Howes is a demulsifier not a water diffuser. I also use a
water separator funnel. I have been adding the treatment to the container, filling the container and
adding to the tank thinking the Howes demulsifies the water and the funnel removing it. Most additives say add
to tank which is logical for big tanks but at 5 gals per fill-up is my method better? Get the water before it gets to the tank.

I wouldn't count on Howes doing anything. Do some research and buy a better additive.

I would think the tank or the container is fine, just as long as you are getting the correct amount. Look up project farm on youtube, he does a comparison of all the name brands; Howes did poorly.

I agree, watch Project Farm. I had my fuel gel 3 times when running Howes. I’m sure it helps but my opinion if you get temps near or below zero kerosene plus an additive is the only thing that works.

If I remember correctly, so please do the research, that Volkswagen recommended to cut 10 gallons of diesel fuel with just 1 pint of regular gas if you are in a pinch at near zero temperatures.
I personally use Power Service products. Easy to purchase at Tractor Supply. I also use PS biocide.

Using Howes I had filter jell solid at not much below zero, also had the feel rod in injector pump stick.Outfit the rebuilt my pump recommended using a different additive which I've done with no problems for the last 20 yrs.
