Where do you park/store your tractor?

When not in use, I park my tractor in a carport with a gravel floor. It's a Kubota B2320 that I bought new in 2014. I am starting to notice quite a bit of rust on the tractor and am wondering if this is normal for being storing on a dirt floor, or has Kubota paint quality gone downhill.

Would love to hear how you all store your tractors and your issues & solutions to rusting or preventing rust.

My Massey is on a dirt floor, under a lean-to on the side of my barn, been there since new in 2010. Most of the paint on the loader frame peeled off after the first winter. Use a back-blade to plow snow. Tractor mostly used to pull logs for firewood. Pressure washed it for the first time this summer... I discovered that it's RED...

I don't exactly understand why, but those seem to be somewhat notorious for "container sweat". Not sure I'd want to keep a tractor in one unless I took steps to reduce it. Maybe you have/will, just thought I'd mention is.

I have a IH 234 , my primary mower & a MF20 loader, they both get parked outside, their not pretty but they work well. I am going to get covers to cover them, they were not pretty when I got them

2010 L3800 & 2017 BX2680: no rust at all. Roofed carport, 4 inches of gravel. Humid East Tennessee weather.

I seem to be in the minority, running heavy 3/8" chains on my rears? Nearly all I've seen here are 1/4", like the weight of car tire chains.

I'll admit, 3/8" ladder chains make for an awfully rough ride on any hard surface, even in 2-link configuration. But I basically never run them on asphalt, they're only for rare occasions when I need to go into deep mud or can't manage to time the towing of my wood trailer across the back yard between snowstorms. Those heavy chains are such a PITA to handle, that I'll go out in the dark to move firewood the night before a storm, if it helps me avoid needing to chain up the next day.

I put my chains on the day I got my tractor in 2014 and have never taken them off. They are less than 50% worn and I plow a pavement driveway where sometimes the wheels spin. I plow a 300 foot driveway and two fairly large parking areas. And yes, it's a bumpy ride but not bad if you go slow.

I've got a '91 Kubota B20 that has never seen an enclosure of any kind. It has been outside year round parked on dirt/gravel mix and has absolutely no rust anywhere.

My BX25D (purchased new in 2013) started in the main portion of my 24x48 insulated barn (concrete floor). Three years ago it moved into the 16x24 heated addition to the barn with selected implements ( backhoe, grapple and stump grinder) primarily to counter the salt air here on the lower Delmarva Peninsula. No rust, original battery.

For 25 years I stored my tractor (JD 4200) outside with the seat and dash under a tarp. I did have some corrosion on the fuse block, but no other obvious rust. After retiring I finally built that pole barn that I had lusted after. I also bought the new Yanmar, so far no rust and I am convinced my stuff is happier out of the elements.

I plow a pavement driveway where sometimes the wheels spin. I plow a 300 foot driveway and two fairly large parking areas.

Why run chains on pavement? Are you using an inverted/pull snowblower?

Running behind a plow or a push-type snowblower, I get better traction with my turf tires on pavement without chains, than with. It's hard to beat rubber on concrete or asphalt! Steel on concrete just sounds slippery.
