Where Do You Store Your Tractor?

Outside, under a tarp. Best I can do for now, but I may build a metal building this summer to keep them in.

Couldn't help but attach a picture of my "MULTIPLE USE STORAGE BUILDING" located on the "Back 40". Poles nailed/lashed to live trees, with boards/plywood covered with a tarp. been this way for 15 years. Some of the uses:
1. Store Kubota or AC crawler when working in the area.
2. Home to 3 families of birds every year (stay out of the rain)
3. Several resident bats.
4. Can't count the field mice.
5. Bear occasionaly bats the hay bales around (after bees nest).
6. Grandson's post during deer season.

Total cost: $5.89 - spread over 15 years = pennies - oh darn forgot the $800.00 per year property taxes.

Meets all Local Zoning and Building Codes (meaning my codes)

Assume you'll have something just a little nicer - have as much fun as this old shcak has provided.

In a tractor shed I built from the wood of an old house I bought and tore down that once, a hundred years ago, was the local post office.

Then I had to modify it so the ROPS/canopy would fit.

The ROPS on my JD990 was 1" too tall to get in the barn where I used to keep the JD850, so I built the pole barn next to it. It really freed up a lot of space for the shop.

I haven't bought my tractor yet, but I think it will get a space in here, if I can manage. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif My Kawasaki Mule lives in a carport of sorts, covered from the rain but open on the sides -- seems OK out there. It might move back into our shed during the winters at least.

That's INCREDIBLE! You must be single? My wife would give me a real hard time if I were to invest that much in a garage let-alone stock it as you have. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Gerard. Actually happily married and fortunately my wife is a car buff. We're similar in that we looked at Kubotas and decided all we really needed was a BX sized tractor, but both agreed on getting a B7800, we just couldnt bear getting only what we "needed" and not what we "wanted." Hehe. AS for the garage, we use it for a rec room for the kids at times too, and in the summer its really a hang out space (open all the doors), so its not "just" a garage.
