where to buy grease fittings?

My local dealer not only didn't have the fittings, they didn't even realize they weren't NPT! I bought a half-dozen from the dealer in the neighboring province, who has a better grasp of what he's doing.

I bought a pack of 10 from eBay for $9 and change shipped to my door. Local power equipment places, TSC and NAPA only had NPT and mm metric fittings.

That works for an immediate fix, but I’ve found the grease fitting threads to be delicate. I don’t recommend doing that continually or stripping the hole is likely.

Yeah I agree. I did not elaborate, but I meant to get him mowing or whatever while he waited on his unobtanium zerks

Grease all fittings, take one out and put it in the missing spot and grease it. Use tractor. Put new fitting in spot you borrowed from. I've done that just being lazy and out of zerks of a particular size.

Here is where I got mine finally. The dealers computer swore that that my zerks were metric . These guys got them and at a good price by the bag.

I've bought "universal zerk packages" at O'Reileys and Napa. As a result - I now have, at least, thirty zerks that will not work on my tractor or any of my implements.

So - I took a zerk off the tractor and one off the grapple ( unfortunately, they are different) and went in to the Kubota dealer and I purchased half a dozen of each. I KNOW these are the correct size and will work without an further futzing around.

The REAL problem is - - there are just too many sizes and types.
