Where to look for reviews for the Best Dishwasher?

Bosch models must vary dramatically because because of the dozens of DW I have installed mine was the absolute worst !!!! Water and electric was hooked up in front water line ran through a cut out in base and 90 over across front any flex line I would use wood get tangled in the wheels when it was pulled out and the electric 90 over and was hard wired .:confused2: I dreaded pulling that thing out the 10 or so times it came out over its life. The new Asko I bought has it's own pex line and 3 prong elec line , easy peasy parchisi. :drink:

Mine went in pretty easy. No problems with the water line and I hard wired mine as well. They did offer an extension cord if you wanted to plug it into an outlet.

Was just thinking about 1/2 an hour ago that I'm only 59 and have been with my wife for 41 years..... I'd like to try for more, so, uh, NO! I won't be telling her that.

True story.

Dishwasher goes out a few years back, I do some research...expensive.... lagging in my effort to decide...

Wife and I walk into big box one day, I says"let's go look".... some brand model never heard of... clearance sale...middle of isle...
marketed down to 250 or something low like that...you know special price......"has the I'll take it ringing in my head"....

Wife agrees....sales guy rings it up....gets up...has to go find manager.....seems price is even lower! Wife has card whipped out already.....LOL....deal done..computer is says so...LOL

Ended up walking out of there paying more for the installation and delivery and haul away than the dishwasher!

And it's a really good one too. Heavy family load...still doing great...Frigidaire Gallery Model.

Dishwashers are pretty expendable here (no not my wife, the machine)....lol

We have lots of dissolved minerals in the well water (calcium) and it destroys dishwashers pretty regular so we (wife) always buys the cheapest one available as none last more than a couple years anyway. Same way with washer machines. She always buys the cheapest so the anguish of landfilling them isn't so bad....:laughing:

Go German. Bosch (we got our 500 series for around $500, flawless since 2015) or Miele.

I proudly bought whirpool fridge, oven, range fan, and laundry, but knew I had to go german for the dishwasher.

Bought a Miele as suggested by a friend. Noisy and doesn not dry the dishes. Probably ECO-Friendly.

My Lady Friend HATES dishwashers. First thing whe did when she bought her house is RIP out a brand new dishwasher.

I think all dishwasher manufactures have their good, better and best models. I think our Bosch is the better variety and has been great so far. Stay far away from Samsung Appliances

Yep. We have lots of lime/calcium in our water. Not too much iron, but that is all around us. Our old, water-inefficient dishwashers didn't care about that. They just had huge nozzles, sprayed everything down like a power washer, and that was that (actually ruined the Corelle plate edges by blasting them so hard over the years). The new water-efficient dishwashers have much smaller nozzles, and therefore, are much more susceptible to liming up. That's one of the reasons they recommend only using soft water in the new ones.

Those German dishwashers are made in North Carolina.
