I don’t think we have a “generators” forum, but anyway I came across this a few days ago. Kinda interesting.
Looks like a few generators are still made in USA?

My main generator is a Kubota from Japan. 18 years old and around 2200 hrs. Wonderful machine.

Lots in China, which I suspect is your point. But I think the answer is really “all over the word”. It’s reality. Embrace it or become irrelevant

The generac I just gave away to a friend(XG4000) was made in the good ol' USA. Don't really need a portable generator anymore though, so hopefully he can make use of it.

Japan for mine. And I'll remind everyone that is the 50s and 60s "Made in Japan" was akin to today's "Made in China".

My generac is mostly made in USA, except for the controller, which is some Chinese electronics. Engine, alternator, etc are USA Made.

Mine was made in France. Using a French made Leroy Somer 10kw 3 phase 400v generator head coupled to a 26HP air cooled Slanzi diesel engine made in Italy.

I have a Powermate which I think is owned by Generac. I found the same thing posted in the chart by Haydude. It might have been made in the USA or overseas. I looked through the manual and couldn’t really find anything that said for sure.

some of Generac’s portable generators are made in usa, some in china. Hard to figure out which is which. Some older generac whole house standbys used chinese made rotor and stators which failed alot. This is why generac started making their own. I see very few failures with usa made ones.

Walmart! Well that is where I bought it. Kinda looks like a Predator series. 13000 Watts dual fuel only one I could find with a 50 amp receptacle.

Looks like by the list USA will be getting some Generator companies being built here.

Problem is, even if something is made in USA, it will almost always have foreign sourced parts. Just how it has been for a long time. Not every item needed for a product is made in the USA.

Me, i NEVER shop at walmart. Cant stand the place.
