Which Model Branson?

The linked switch on the Shuttle shift models works with both the clutch and the 3pt up position. At least on mine is that way. I only use it with the rototiller.

Thanks Aaron,

I was thinking that the linked switch went to the clutch pedal on the shuttle shift units, my mistake.

On my 8050 the link switch does tie in with the foot "clutch" pedal, but not with the power shuttle lever.
It does not activate with the 3 pt being raised or lowered.
However the 3 pt does have to be raised or lowered and raised before the pto will function very time the tractor is shut down and restarted.

That makes sense. I have yet to run a PTO powered implement with this tractor (only 38 hours on it so far............all loader and box blade work).

As far as PTO implements, I have a brush mower and the rototiller. I've found the linked PTO to be quite nice when using the rototiller, as I usually have to do it around big trees and if the rototiller grabs the roots, my first reaction is to press the clutch and the PTO stops without breaking anything.

However, I don't like using it with the mower because once you press the clutch or lift the arms, it will stop the PTO and apply the PTO brake. The inertia of the mower spinning will just burn the PTO brake really fast. It's not a problem with the rototiller because it spins at low RPM and doesn't have that much inertia going on.
