My JD 4wd 4700 and I deal with a lot of soft, deep mud on the farm and I'm looking to buy chains. Any opinions/experience with double ring(supposed to be the best for mud) or other types. Digging in is the problem.

I nearly bought double-rings for my L3010 with aggie tires, but I needed snow and ice traction more than mud, so I went with Valby (Norse) ice chains. Interestingly enough, they also excel in gooey muck. The farmer down the valley has double rings on his JD4300 and likes them in mud, but not in winter. Says the traction is great in snow, but the ride is pretty bumpy when the ground is frozen.
