One of the harder things to do all by yourself is unroll five foot high horse wire. This thing works like a hose at a fireman's convention.

I can bring the JCB in from all four directions depending upon the situation. The axle spindle allows the wire to unroll easily and the cage holds it up, like I said, it's something an awful like what Neal does when faced with a dilemma or another.

Close the door, undo the clips holding the loose end of the fabric, feed the loose end through the slot, rock and roll.

That is what I call icing on the cake. I love to see a 4 man job, turned into a one man job, and that is really thinking ahead to be able to enter with the forks from any direction.

Your project made me think of a tool stand I built many years ago while running conduit as an electrician. Nothing more than a wheel & spindle with a pipe up to about waist heighth, with a little U bracket on top to lay my portable electric hack saw in. You could walk up to it with a piece of conduit in hand, swing the saw around with right hand & pull the pipe up with left hand. Pipe was cut without walking around, stooping or lifting anything but the pipe.

Those five foot rolls are heavy. They are contrary as a mother in law at the wrong time of the month. Unrolling one and then standing it up by yourself is a bugger bear in spades.

I carry two portabands. A lot of the time I'll notch the pipe for a fit with the portaband rather than horsing the pipe back to the truck for a notch from the notcher.
