White 2-135

Does anyone on this site own a white tractor, specifically a 2-135? If not does anyone know anything about this tractor. I have been approached about buying one for a very cheap price. I know the tracors history somewhat. I think that the hydraulic pump is bad but I have been told that this particular tractor has a sump pump that is contolled by chain that could have come off by some chance. Any info about this tractor would be greatly appreciated.

the main hyd pump is external mounted I think it is on the left side below the cab. The chain driven pump is internal and runs the lube system for the transmission. but it has been a while since I had a 135 apart I am not sure if the 135 has an internal pump that is chain driven or gear driven

The older Olivers had the chain driven charge pump, the later White transmission differentials had a gear, bevel style, drive. The external hydraulic pump is a Vickers style piston pump. There are a few things on the pump that can be repaired, but if the main internal guts are damaged, the entire pump needs to be replaced.

Can't help you much but it sure brings back memories. Back in 76 I worked for a fertilizer plant and I put on Anhydrous Ammonia with a 2-150. I sure loved that tractor.
