Good Afternoon Guys,
Thanks for the kind words...
I glued the table ends to the long rails this morning, so the complete base is done. I posted some photos of that along with some slight imperfections in the wood...
In a couple of places there are some small knot holes that I think are great... Wood being an imperfect medium to wotk in, has these imperfections, and it seems criminal to me to fill them with wood puddy...
Obviously I wouldnt have a big nasty knot in the middle of a beautiful top, but some small imperfections make you realise that your working with wood , something that comes from nature, not created by man...
Anyways, I took pics of those spots also...
After the base had setup for an hour or so, I tipped the base upright, and just had to lay the top on, its about now that I get kind of excited with the project, its taking form...
I still have to raise the grain and sand again, and then more finish sanding, and on and on.....
I also still have to make the tabs to attach the top yet, I posted a pic of those on a previous post...
For those who wonder why Im not assembling this on my workbench and opting for the tablesaw top, I posted a pic of my messy bench, the shop needs a good cleanup !

BTW theres one photo there of the amount of squeez out on one of the joints, you really dont want much more than that, the strength of the joint comes from the fit between the mortice and tenon, not the shoulder of the rail to the leg...
