Who has a 1460?

Just got my Dec '04 issue of Compact Equipment and read the article on Hartscapes and their use of the 1460and 425. I noticed that next to Power Trac's advertisement there was another articulated machine called "MultiOne" advertised. Their site is www.multione.com. Anyone got any experience with this machine?

Oh! Oh! Those multione's look pretty sweet! Kind of the Yuppie versions of a powertrac, hehehe. Kinda batmobile-looking rigs, you could mount the jet blower out the back end.

I like what I saw, but they must be a lot more expensive than PT's. I also noticed the back end of the machine touches the ground (because the rear wheels are so far forward) when using the FL bucket in their demonstration pictures.

I think its a lot of marketing PR and pictures of prototypes, IMHO. I'd like to see someone who actually has one. Some of the attachments look pretty cool.

I wish PT would publish specs like max thrust force for their machines, too.

I totally agree the prices are probably way up there. However, there may be some ideas that might be adaptable to the Power Tracs. One picture I noticed in Gallery 3 of the "Press Area" has the rear engine compartment open. It looks like the 18 hp Robin engine model. It would be great if future Power Tracs had that kind of engine access. The telescoping lift arms are also an item to dream about. Heck, I don't even have a Power Trac yet, let alone a 1460.

Very sexy looking!

I would guess that their prices are high also. That type of smooth design and ergonomics don't come cheap.

It does look like the end all to the swiss army knife approach though... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just imagine what the PT Pucker factor is on those when you get a heavy load aWaaaayyyy up there and turn the wheel. I bet they tip over to the side very easily like that. Kind of scary, if you ask me. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
