I have been pretty stuck before not never had a camera around at the time. Usually to scared someone would see me
This is the only time I caught my adventures on camera because I had to wait for the excavator to come and lift me out!
There is a fine line between being "Brave" and "stupid" and one morning a few years ago I crossed it.
Was backing back from dumping a load of fill and the back wheel slipped over the edge. I dropped it in low to pull ahead and bunny hopped the front ending up with both right wheels just on the safety ledge of the pond.
Now this is where I just should have swung the hoe to the dry side and got the dozer to help pull me out.
But, NO! "I have been in worse situations that this" "I can get out of this"
Put the bucket down flat on the bank, deployed the stabilizer down to lift the wet side up a bit to take the weight transfer of the hoe, swung the hoe to the the wet side, and lifted the *** end up level with the bank. (wish I had a picture of that)
When I went to crowd over to the dry side the hoe bucket slipped off the safety ledge under water and the hoe and me went over. I just had enough time to grab the fuel shut off before jumping out the back window for a swim.
Two hour excavator rental, Front windshield, back window, new battery, and a S$%$t load of new fluids later I was ready to fight yet another day.
Just goes to show you how dangerous equipment can be if you don't respect them. I chalk this up to one of those lessons.
