I don't know about the slime only lasting 2 years. A while back I upgraded the tires on a 10 cubic foot lawn tractor trailer when I got the 2 small rear tires and rims off an old lawn tractor. The sidewalls were getting badly cracked from age and exposure and they started losing air the next year. That was the first time I heard about slime and I probably put a little more in each tire than the directions called for. But they've held air ever since and the cart has always been out in the weather. In fact, I never had to add air to them. That was 18 years ago. I think the slime is the only thing keeping the sidewalls from disintegrating. I'm a real believer in slime.
