Who makes the best grease gun?

I have a customer that had me make a 10 foot hose for his grease gun . Now when he greases his tractor trailer he handles hose under the truck and his little boy pumps the gun by "voice control" " pump " "stop " :) Last report little boy makes two dollars , a trip to McDonald's and some time with his Daddy .

That's nice, my father handed me the grease gun, told me "It's full and there are x number of grease fittings, now I don't want to see you come out from under there until all are serviced. Don't complain, back when I was a kid I had to grease the crane every 300 yards it was walked"

I had a Lincoln 12V grease gun and liked it. It worked real well. Then Milwaukee came out with their 12V M12 grease gun, and since I already have a good assortment of their M12 lineup, I sold the Lincoln and got the Milwaukee. It works real well, too, but the Lincoln seemed to be a little quicker. Comparing the two by eye, the Milwaukee looks like it will take more abuse, has a rest to set it down on, and traps the end of the hose in a holder. On the other hand, the Lincoln was smaller and lighter, but I think I read the plastic pistol grip can break, and then you're pretty much done.
By the way, Milwaukee's M12 drill, drivers, impacts, etc. are great little tools. Surprisingly powerful for their small size, and good battery life. I highly recommend them.

I have to agree with the above. The 5 year warintee is also a great advantage. I like my mikwaukee stuff a lot. I think is is the best bang for the buck right now.

I have sold and used the Lincoln battery operated guns , nice . No more greasing than I do , I use a Lincoln pistol grip with a four foot hydraulic hose whip . Has anyone over the years noticed that the the zerk couplers do not last as long as they use to ? We buy Lincoln 5852's buy the bulk carton , and sell them eveyday .
Yes I have... Almost seems to vary lot by lot I think. One coupler lasts months, next one maybe couple of weeks. Always buy lincoln couplers, the rest of the brands are pure junk.

Thanks for the input everyone! We decided on the Lincoln PowerLuber. I haven't got a chance to try it out yet, but it looks like a nice unit.

Of course here are the pics:

I'm 62 years old, and I still can't load a grease gun without making a big mess.

I have one and it works great . I have to use it on idler arm on a couple of my G.M. trucks . I screwed it on to a pipe , put a zerk on the other and snap it on to my grease gun hose .

I've had to teach "mechanics" with 30+ years of experience how to load a grease gun. It isn't that tough if you are given the correct procedure. I had one that didn't even know that the plunger rod would lock when you pulled it all of the way out.
