I buy cheepo guns from WalMart for $10 each. I recently sprung $15 for a pistol grip gun, which is working very nicely. I've never had a grease gun fail. They're fine at least until the tip stops working. I can get a whole gun for what a replacement tip costs. I've swapped out a few tips, but THAT is the weak link for the grease guns, IMHO.
Mostly. I moved up to the east-side this past year, and got a Lincoln pneumatic gun. It lasted for exactly one squirt of grease, then broke and would only hiss when I pulled the trigger. Pfft. So much for paying the big bucks. I'll stick with $10 Chinese junk.

This is about my situation. Can't see going thru more than 2 tubes a month.Lincoln, lever type hand operated gun. No dead batteries or need for an air compressor. Course, I dont have anything that has over 20 grease fittingsAlemite guns are second. Had one lever type, good gun till I left it in wrong spot on a skidder and had been ran over....:ashamed:
Well I've been thru my share of "cheap" grease guns, some work well, some don't. But then my Lincoln just failed.I buy cheepo guns from WalMart for $10 each. I think that comment was why I bought my Lincoln 1134 years ago.Got to watch the Lincolns.
The Lincoln 1134 i use is awesome. Not cheap, but its high pressure enables you to grease fittings that wont take grease from cheaper, lower pressure guns. Its been used professionally and has held up great.
