Rake Who makes the best heavy duty landscape rake

Just looking for some opinions on who makes the best heavy duty landscape rake I'm looking at getting a 7' rake it's going to be used and abused I'm a big fan on buying something once so with that being said what rake would y'all buy

Had an EA rake for a little over a month now and have put the screws to it pretty good. So far I'm really happy with it.

Hat trick. I have an ETA Landscape Rake and recommend it; one of ETA's best products.

The optional gauge wheels are just fair.


Though distant, I also recommend York-Modern Landscape Rakes, often used in highway construction.

I started a prevoius thread earlier and tried the Tsc rake. It was junk. I then purchased the EA extreme duty rake and it is a beast. I threw everything at it with my 50 hp Kioti with loaded tires( quite heavy) and it performed awesome. Built like a tank.

I wish the York website had better pictures. One of the best features of the EA rakes is the tine bar which is stiff, rugged, and significantly protects the tines from damage. I haven't seen any better.

Actually my question was asking (rethorically) why the landscape rake implement is widely referred to as a York rake. Similar to the way Bush Hog and Kleenex dominate their respective products.

I grew up five miles from Unadilla where York rakes are made. All of the local town highway departments had a towed York for the dirt roads. I've seen them pulled with graders and pickups.

I don't have extensive experience with rakes, but as others have said York rakes are used by the local road departments on miles and miles of gravel roads. They are a local product-but they certainly are robust to handle that kind of use.
