I know this is a long shot, but I'm looking to buy an OSET 12.5 for my two sons 2 and 4 yr old birthdays. If anyone has one or knows a friend with one that their kids outgrew, please shoot me a message.

Paul, gorgeous bike by the way!

Here is a pic from a couple weeks ago, somewhere in NH coming back from a quick run to Canada and back, 70% dirt the whole way.

Well,I guess it had to happen.

I took a temp job working for a local contractor to fill in until he could hire a couple drivers. Made pretty good money for about 4 weeks all of which went directly into the Toy Fund.

Been thinking about a modern motorcycle for a while now. Saturday the 2nd, I took the old 650 for a ride and wound up at the local dealer. I'd been in touch with them about Yamaha's new SCR950 scrambler but they couldn't get a ship date and I didn't want to diddle away the whole summer waiting on a bike that I may or may not like once I actually sat on it.

I asked about my second choice, the Yamaha FJ09 Sport/Touring bike. I sat on one, liked the riding position and they offered me a test drive. Half an hour later, I was plunking down a down payment and waiting for the financial people to run the paperwork!

Rode it home an hour later. A bit more than I intended to pay for a new bike, but after ~300 miles over the weekend, I'm convinced it was worth every penny!

The '79 Yamaha XS650 and the '74 Suzuki GT550 are out in the front yard with For Sale signs on them...

Triples are great! Ride the heck of it before winter decides to return, add heated grips :) Lets see that GT550.

Congrats, they are quite powerful for their displacement.

No kidding! I haven't even put it in Sports mode yet and I'm impressed! Fuel injection, ABS, Traction Control, excellent brakes and suspension that doesn't try to drive yer spine up through the back of yer skull. Who knew?

I had the first XS 650 Special that came to our town.

I was stationed in Japan when they came out in '71. Couldn't cut it then but I swore I was gonna have one some day.

Bought a brand new '74 TX650A when they came out, kept it almost 10 years which was a record for me. Spent a lot of time looking for another one before I found the '79 a few years back. Sorta hate to sell it, but not as much as I hate making payments...

Those 990s, or 950s. I couldn't tell, are great bikes. I have a 690, and I still hate mud! Ha!
